The landscape of Northern Argentina is full of these cacti. They can live 500 years. 500 years.

My friend Sherry and I have been on a road trip across northwestern Argentina for the last few days. When we saw this field, we asked our driver to pull over and we hiked way down into the ravine negotiating the rocky landscape rife with ground pricklers.

I know it looks like I’m dancing here, but really I’m apparently super graceful when I’m trying not to fall. Lol.

Special thanks to @royal_robbins for sending clothes for me to try out during my South American journey. I’ve been wearing their travel clothes for years now and I love them. Especially when I get to match the cactus-filled landscape.
