The genetic heritage I passed down to my son Matteo includes a passion for singing and a love for opera. On the one hand, I am a little concerned about his determination, because I understand that when you’re a singer son of a singer father, you’re easily subject to criticisms, comparisons, and sometimes prejudice. Still, the joy of having him next to me on the stage is stronger than that, and so are the emotions I feel as I hear in his voice the same potential and eagerness I had when I was in my twenties.

Nel patrimonio genetico che ho trasmesso a mio figlio Matteo, c’è anche la passione per il canto e l’amore per la lirica. Da un lato vivo questa sua determinazione con una certa apprensione, poiché comprendo quanto un figlio d’arte sia facilmente soggetto a critiche, raffronti e talora pregiudizi. Più forte è, però, la gioia di averlo accanto sul palco, più forte è l’emozione che provo, ritrovando nella sua voce le potenzialità e l’entusiasmo dei miei vent’anni.
