Who's tried puntarelle before?? It's such a unique veggie, well worth trying! It grows in Italy, but you can buy it in the UK. Just snap off the little heads leaving the base and the wispy leaves behind that you can see here in the Colander, they have an amazing fresh mild bitterness, then you could blanch and dress them in really good olive oil and lemon ? , or blanch and saute them with garlic or my favourite is raw you shave them thinly and dress with anchovy sauce/dressing ... seriously good! May be give them a try
