The M-65 (c. 1965) was the last revision to the field jacket. It replaced the cotton fabric of earlier field jackets with newly developed Nylon/Cotton sateen fabric that was virtually indestructible and extremely wind-resistant. The collar was redesigned to incorporate a hidden hood.
