My new normal is thinking about the fires in Northern California. The devastation in Texas, Florida, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominica. Or my mind goes to displaced youth. The 180 million girls who cannot go to school because of their gender. Birth control that is being withheld. Our LGBT friends. The many suffering from abuse. Yemen. And that's just the beginning. I'm usually trying to figure out all the ways I can help while still working, sleeping, eating properly, and finding the "right" thing to say. I want to be part of change, big change. I wake up and want to change the world. In me is a deep responsibility for the well being of all who enter my life, including yours. I've been so lucky to fight for the right to be an artist. To be able to communicate with you. Thank you. I see so many of you devoted to making change as well. You are using your voice, and action to ensure the equality of all. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you. I'm grateful to exist with you. I hope you are taking care of yourself with as much thought and care you are putting towards others. There will be ups and downs, but in the face of opposition, I hope you refrain from hardening. Let's stay vulnerable. Lets be open to not having all the answers, but a willingness to learn. Let's continue to get back up after being knocked down. And let's do it together. I'll help you and you'll help me. There is still a whole lot of love in this world. Let's not forget to pour our hearts into places that return the love we are so generously spreading. Let's stick together.
