At the end of the day it all comes down to one thing, we love our sport!: "Last week Ashley and I had the opportunity to compete alongside some really incredible athletes at the Olympic qualifying event in Oberstdorf, Germany.
Zahra Lari from UAE is the first figure skater to compete in a hijab. In her first few competitions she received costume deductions, but she persisted and is now sponsored by Nike. It was so inspiring to watch her compete as she breaks down barriers for women and Muslim athletes everywhere.
Zoey Jones, the 37 year-old mother of three, just started skating pairs last year. She and her partner Christopher Boyadji skated an awe-inspiring freeskate while trying to qualify an Olympic spot.
Ryom Tae-ok and Kim Ju-sik became North Korea's first athletes to qualify for the upcoming Olympics in South Korea, and the first pair team ever from North Korea to qualify for an Olympic Games. It was such an honor to share the ice with them. "
