TSA procedures are developed and tweaked based on intelligence, and recent reports show that terrorists are still looking for ways to use laptop bombs. We’ve used the photo before in a previous Instagram post, but we wanted to share again as a reminder as to why we take a closer look at laptops and other electronics. Especially if they’ve been modified in any way.

This image is an inert replica of a laptop bomb. What looks like cereal in the baggie is actually inert dynamite flakes. The silver item in the middle of the baggie is the blasting cap, and the toggle switch is what completes the circuit and sets the bomb off.
