Our love passed on at 6pm tonight and we held him like we promised we would

Because you know and may love Cooper, we are sharing sad news that he is near the end of this part of his journey. We only learned of this last week while I was in Spain on a retreat with my Mom but grace brought us home in time for a meaningful rally including lots of love from Grandma Earlyn Lawrence who managed planes, trains and automobiles with a 24hr period to help reunite him with his Mama, steak cooked by his Daddy, sweet time with Yia Yia Gerry and Papou Jim Apostle and another satisfying MSU Spartan win over Michigan?? Tom credits Copper as a Spartan good luck charm since MSU has won 8 out of the 12 years of Cooper's life.?
This photo was taken yesterday morning and captures these two best buddies and is only natural that Tom is carrying his precious good boy for care and comfort.
We are in a suspended and sacred mode, keeping him comfortable while waiting for his time to come, reviewing fantastic photos and reliving great memories, lavishing love and saying prayers of gratitude for all we have shared with this best and beautiful boy, Cooper. We wanted to thank your for the attention and care you showed him -it has been a blessing for all of us.
If you see our tearful faces in the days ahead, know it's because the joy and love he brought has filled us to overflowing.
