Most successful women in Hollywood have stories like these but are forced to keep quite to stay in the game. Like Jennifer Siebel Newsom who wrote this article and formed Miss Representation and The Representation project, experiences like these were the main reason I formed The New Hollywood in my twenties.
Our industry attracts dysfunction and breeds dysfunction. Only by speaking up and calling out sexual predators, having consequences for abuse and dysfunction will these things change.
From the bottom of my heart thank you to all the women brave enough to speak up so we can change the norm in Hollywood and beyond. And thank you to the amazing men who love and support women, who lead by example and don't allow this type of abuse within their productions and companies.
