I can not thank the @テキサス・レンジャーズ enough for nominating me for the Roberto Clemente award-it’s such an honor! Our philosophy @thehamelsfoundation is “education is the answer”. This is what I know to be true to which will help make this world a better place. With wonderful support and incredible people behind us we have built a school in Africa and have donated millions to public schools in the US. Our foundation makes sure that every cent that is given has a fully executed plan and is sustainable. I'm honored to be nominated and to give the Hamels Foundation this recognition. More importantly I’m humbled that so many of you have noticed the strides the Hamels Foundation has made. All my teammates, fellow MLB players, especially the Roberto Clemente nominees are so deserving of these special recognitions. We all work together to provide the best entertainment for such an amazing sport "America's Pastime", along with doing everything we can for our communities! We wouldn't be where we are to reach our full potential if it wasn't for all of you! THANK YOU!!!
