There is a fine line between reinforcing and actually creating a hold. Sometimes then, a rockclimb is not so much different to an indoor route (colour of the holds and possible resetting excluded;-). Interesting to see that today many routes are "man made" while it is considered taboo in bouldering.

E.g. Italy's first 8c+ and first 9b, both (in Andonno) were "created" way back in the 90s (pictures).
