Soy bean fields in Belterra, municipality in the amazon region in Brazil. The land owners have signed a pledge 10 years ago not to cut any trees for soy production. The program is run by @nature_org to help with agricultural compliance. The tall trees through out the image are #Castanheira (Brazil Nut) trees, which have been protected for years. @TNCBrasil. Some what surprising to me is that the program was begun by agra giant Cargill along with local producers of soy.
