Youth Career Day last week for at risk youth in LA. I wondered why we were speaking to elementary school children about future career choices instead of high school students. What I didn't know and shortly found out is that these children are being recruited into gangs as young as 9 years old. Many of them shared they have dreams of being a doctor, police officer, and an athlete. @1heartatatimeyouthintervention and @plurfoundation are doing great things for the community.
