@マルベリー felt more flamboyant than it has in previous seasons, as the brand makes the switch to see-now, but-now. Johnny Coca said that exuberance was him coming through: "I wanted something to make me laugh, something happy and joyful." Porcelain was one fixation - he's been trawling local antique shops around Mulberry HQ in Kensington picking up sets of crockery and little porcelain vases as inspiration for the heels of his shoes, plus prints on beautiful "couture-inspired" organza garden party dresses. Jewellery was another big focus. "English girls can be casual in the day but at night they like to dress up, sequins, crystals, glamour," he noted.
