As a figurehead of the feminist movement, Gloria Steinem helped secure many essential rights and privileges for women. Legislation aside, Steinem worked to dismantle the oppressive culture and the blatant sexism that was once the norm in our country. While we still have a long way to go, Steinem’s presence is an inspiring force whether she's leading the march for women's equality, advocating on social media, or sitting on the sidelines at NYFW.
