So proud of how my lil bro from Haiti ?? @michaelbrun used music to connect People The power of music , its diversity, rythmes it's colours and energy, how Haitians with almost nothing and after so many tragedies are still full of hopes and joy and creativity. Dreams and adversity brings the best out of us and this is why I will always support you @michaelbrun Rendez vous November 24th in New York bro ??#bayo #Repost @michaelbrun (@get_repost) ・・・ I’ve spent the last 12 months of my life working on a project that I feel is truly a representation of who I am. It started out with traveling across Haiti and collaborating on music with some of the best artists in the country. There was so much talent and positivity in those moments that I just wanted to share it with the world. To show people how much good could come from connecting with others. To show that Haitians could control their destiny and change the course of their country. Haiti is rooted in music, but even more importantly, it’s founded on a diverse culture that combines art, food, community and positive energy in a way that is unique to the island. We needed people to see it, so we started hosting block parties that brought artists and communities together. First in Jacmel, then in Port-Au-Prince, Jalousie and Miami. These shows were raw, honest and all about letting people connect with the music and art. And through the shows, I realized that I wanted more people to be able to experience them. That people needed to know what was happening. Because if they just saw or heard a bit of it, they would fall in love. And because it helped me and so many others learn more about ourselves. So I’m very proud to present Bayo. A way for me to bring a little bit of Haiti to the world, and I promise you, it will be an experience like you’ve never seen before. I’ll see you in New York at on November 24th for the first edition. Tix on sale this Friday 12pm ET. art by @batmancita
