Hobonichi 2018. This will be the fourth year strong journeying with this wonderfully quirky planner and its magical paper. For this go around I decided to do a minimal and modern theme sticking with the Original and Weeks planners and forgoing the Cousin version (at least presently). And I also was looking for a leather cover that I wouldn't have the temptation to continue replacing and that could also endure well over time (though the cover selection on the Hobo site is eclectic and beautiful as always).

A happy discovery shortly followed upon perusing various sites and I found the A6 FxCel black leather cover by @franklinchristoph. It has all the components that I had been looking for: awesome aesthetics, not bulky nor heavy, slots for papers, a great pen holder and a secure closure. Check, check, check, check annnd check. Yay!

I also decided to invest in a nice watercolor set and was lucky enough to snag the Sequel Palette by @greenleafblue from one of their recent shop updates. One thing that I fell away from a bit in the last year was watercoloring and doodling. So with a new season ahead, I'm determined to make room for both as it truly refreshes my soul and brings joy.

And as for my guilty pleasure purchase, I got the Hobonichi felt pen roll. Delightful and nice for when I just want to just carry a few essentials.

And last, my son and I have made up a secret game with the curious Hobonichi meal dice. Spoiler: it has nothing to do with meals. Teaser: it's top secret.
