April 1995 @transworldskate cover & contents page. I did my first kickflip McTwist a few weeks earlier at @spottampa so TWS asked if I would do it again for a photo in the mag. I was hesitant because it took me months just to make one, and I didn't know if I could do it again. TWS then told me it would be the cover if I made it. I tried it for nearly 3 hours straight and this was literally the last attempt because it was getting dark and - as any Encinitas YMCA local can tell you back then - they were shutting me down by pulling the chain across the ramp. Motivation through intimidation.
