Secrets out! (Tap for audio) Sometimes I actually think that pre-lightning the hair before putting on a fashion tone can take away from the natural quality that the hair gives to the look. Don't get me wrong bright shiny colors are beautiful, but there is such a softness when you add muted unnatural tones that work really well with the gold that is already living in the hair. With this particular formulation It is so important to saturate FULLY. It also won't show up enough of you don't allow for the MAXIMUM processing time. I used @wellahair Illumina 6/16 (ash, Violet) at the base. Illumina is a violet based, high quality product that shifts the natural color while maintaining cooler toned rather than exposing unwanted brassiness. Then I mixed Instamatic 40 g Muted Mauve with 25 g Pink Dream and 4% (13vol) color touch developer. There are 2 options for develper in color touch, it was very important that I used the strong one to diffuse more of her natural pigment so that I didn't have to pre lighten anything with bleach!
