Oh, those local markets! The way we got here was fairly unique: we asked the locals where we could try the tastiest national cuisine, and many answered: "You know where you should go... to the bazaar!" The market in Jerusalem was actually more than just shopping rows, it's a real amusement park - everything there was flavorful, bright, vibrant and loud! To be honest, you could fill your belly before even reaching the cafe: there were nuts, hummus, fruit, sweets... The most interesting part was bargaining with salesmen. For instance, that young man assured me that he sold me dates for the best price in Jerusalem. For some reason, I found it hard to believe!;)
Ох уж эти местные рынки! Туда мы доехали довольно своеобразным образом: спрашивали у местных, где можно найти самую вкусную национальную кухню, и многие отвечали: «Да идите вы… на базар!» На самом деле рынок в Иерусалиме - это не просто торговые ряды, а настоящий аттракцион, столько здесь всего ароматного, яркого, пестрого, многоголосного! Честно говоря, наесться успеваешь, даже не доходя до самого кафе: орешки, хумус, фрукты, сладости… Самое интересное - это азартно торговаться с продавцами. Вот, например, этот приятный молодой человек уверяет меня, что продал мне финики по лучшей цене в Иерусалиме. Что-то не верится!;)
