When we talk about overcoming obstacles and getting through hurdles, we rarely discuss how they'll change you and the way you see the world.
Successes and failures (which often come hand in hand) are celebrated as things that just happen and then you move forward - but they always leave a mark of some sort.
In my life they've meant a subtle (and sometimes dramatic) shift in the way I approach work and life. Working on #inthecompanyofwomen completely changed my life in every aspect. I can never look at design or business in the same way and I'm so glad I can't.
This moment in my life demands more of me (at a time when my business is the least profitable it's ever been) than ever but I'm so thankful that these projects demand a different version of myself. One that is more aware, vulnerable, quiet, but also somehow more okay with taking risks.
Have you ever felt yourself changing into a new version of yourself as you take on something new? It's a subtle shift sometimes, but paying attention to those growing pains is the most rewarding experience. It reminds us that we are always evolving and growing and learning more.
