I met Harry Dean Stanton when I was fifteen at Helena's. I told him I was a big fan. He invited me to his car to get something and I was excited to go but also scared I might get kidnapped (because at fifteen as girl you basically always think you will get kidnapped). He ducked into his car and handed me a handmade cassette of Cancion Mictexa, the song of his I adored from Paris, Texas. He signed it "to jenni, a woman of great taste." It remained my prized possession for years. What a lovely man and what an enormous talent. RIP.
