More of the ugly/cruel byproduct of hurricanes. These two babies side by side to the end. Blown up from the beach during Irma. Jupiter Island, for as long as it has been here, has been the nesting grounds for Green, Leatherback and Loggerhead turtles. When these storms blow through thousands of these beautiful creatures do not make it. Each nest has approx 110 eggs and the island has over a thousand nests annually. The number lost for this island alone must be staggering.
