Pitch 9 on 'Dihedral Wall' is a 5.13+ (8b) bolted slab that can quickly spit you off. Each try instead of stripping the draws, I left them in place, simply because it felt like a sport pitch. It's one of these grey areas in bigwall freeclimbing: It's not perfect style, but in my eyes it's still ok. What's interesting is the amount of grey areas, and the varying opinions of different climbers towards them.
Examples are yoyo'ing or even toproping pitches, fixing gear, going down to the valley for a power nap and a pizza instead of staying on the wall, you can think of many more...
I feel like it's necessary to clearly state the way an ascent was done, so that everyone can see the ethics that were apllied.
No go's for some are grey areas to other, where to draw the line?
