NEVER FORGOTTEN- I remember being in HS, we were in the chapel doing morning prayers when we got an announcement of a tragic accident, moments later being told something else had occurred. A girl looked out the window & pointed out there was smoke at the World Trade Center. Everyone ran to the windows, I'll never forget what I saw & felt. Immediately there was a mixture of fear, sadness & prayers. I prayed. 20 mins later I could hear my eldest brother voice screaming out my name franticly calling out for me. I ran to him. The look on his face I knew it was worse then we we're told. He held my hand & told me we gotta go. I didn't think twice. We ran out to the car & thankfully my school wasn't far from home. But we had zero means to call anyone. The lines were down or busy. We didn't know where my parents or other brother was. By the time we got home , we found my mom stuck in front of the tv screen in tears. What I then saw was unimaginable. Seeing people leap out of the top floor building...I felt so sick I nearly threw up. It was a long day before the rest of my family got home. We counted our blessings & we prayed for all those affected , lost & gone. #911 a day America will never forget ??
