I was born in Hollywood Florida. The first three years of my life we lived on an orange grove in my great grandfather's house. Florida has always held a special place in my heart and it's so hard to know what's happening right now. This morning my daughter and I said a prayer while still lying in bed under a calm, sunny sky, asking forgiveness for what our race has been doing to the home God gave us, and asking for mercy.
