When one gets a letter like this, it's impossible to articulate how it makes one feel. To truly absorb the impact of Buffy and Angel on its fans is impossible. I am continuously gobsmacked by the stories told to me at fan engagements like today. I am so proud to have been afforded the opportunity to do what I love but for the show to also be exactly what one, two or even thousands of people have needed at "that" moment in life...What a gift. What a gift to play a character who provided hope and empowerment. I never could have imagined this level of success for a show called "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" on a new little network called the "WB" whose mascot was a dancing frog with a top hat and cane.
So, the real thanks goes to you. Thank you for sharing your stories with me, for staying engaged as a fan, continuously supporting the show by showing up at these events 20 years later, for passing it on to your little sisters/ brothers and children. Thank you for continually showing me love as an actress. For supporting my interests/ causes as a person. For giving me another reason to be grateful today. ♥️
