I try not to get too political on here too often, but the people whose lives are in disarray because of the ending of #DACA today have faces. And hearts. And families. And communities. Yes, immigration needs to be addressed, and sure, you can make the legal argument #DACA was initially an unconstitutional overreach by the executive branch... But as this debate moves toward actual legislation, let's all please remember: We're talking about human beings. Who had no say over their border crossing, who grew up here, and who have not committed a crime. Being born in this country is not a merit... it's a gift. One it does us our souls good to share.
