Deogen is the name of a mysterious fog that floats through the branches of the Sonian forest in Brussels. It's a slight mistranslation from dutch meaning 'the eyes', adopted because the legend tells of something in the fog watching those who wander through it. I was exploring the ruins of a neo-Renaissance château nearby when I came across this face in the early morning light.
