On the 23rd of July I placed 4th in the world for T47 Long Jump at the 2017 Para Athletics World Champs.
After a Campaign that was not only Physically challenging but extremely mentally challenging I was very proud to be out there giving it my best and competing for New Zealand.
Unfortunately this campaign my body was not in the best knick and after putting 110% of my effort into my training since the Paralympics, it was extremely devastating to not perform the way I know I am capable of- but that is sport and I know I will have many more chances to compete against the best again and show them what I've got.
This last year has been life changing for me- I achieved so many dreams of mine that I thought weren't possible. I just wanted to thank everyone who believed in me and let you know that this little bump in the road isn't the end - this is just the start.
