Can't wait to see this. Bout time this story is told on screen. First got turned on to Mr. Zeta Acosta's story in high school cause I started reading Hunter S. Thompson due to my interest in counter-culture. Had no idea Thompson would bring me back to my own community. Thanks to @anahibustillos for the heads up.

August 29th was the anniversary of the 1970 #chicano Moratorium Protests in #eastLA which resulted in the death of journalist #RubenSalazar.

The trailer for "The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo" is out now for a national airing on #pubs in the fall. This documentary tells the story of the wild man himself, #oscarzetaacosta. He was a civil rights attorney who once subpoenaed every member of the #losangeles county grand jury to prove a pattern of discrimination against #mexicanamericans. Here's to shining the light on the #ChicanoMovement and all those who have used their voice to fight the good fight both past and present.

Working on this project was kismet. Spreading word about this moment in history and all those involved in making this production fell right in line with who I am and in telling the stories that matter to me. ✊
