I'm sitting here tonight and listening to the sound of the rain of this massive storm called Harvey as it pelts my windows and roof and howls through the trees outside. Only this time last week we were all watching the news awaiting to see what this scary storm threatened to bring. Wow, what tragedy all in 1 week. Tonight I've had a few very short moments of fear as tornado sirens alarmed outside my home for about 45 minutes where I whisked my baby into my arms to hide in a spot in our house with no windows. All I could think about were those that were affected by the hurricane and tropical storm Harvey, not just these rains and tornado warnings that Nashville is getting tonight. The very small amount of fear that I experienced tonight doesn't compare- but it did make me think about families with babies, elderly, or alone that lost power and probably fearfully scaled to the highest parts of their homes as flood waters rose and as they slowly but surely lost everything they know as home. To all who have experience loss, tragedy or extreme disappointment because of this storm- I am so very sorry. To those who are on the ground rescuing, helping, caring and going through this WITH South Texas and some of Louisiana- thank you. And to those of us who see the pictures, videos, social media posts, or news- let's keep doing what we can- there's so much more ahead that has to be done. We're still with you. We're still praying. We'll still stay tuned in to what you need. There's so many incredible places to give- and if you still want to give, another amazing Church there is Hope City! Www.yourhopecity.com/flood 100% is going to help them rescue, help, care and rebuild their city and their people. ?(link still in bio) "When peace like a river attendeth my way.
