Roughly a month before her death, Diana debuted her new look In Vanity Fair's July 1997 issue. Gianni Versace remarked, "She is so serene. It is a moment in her life, I think, when she's found herself—the way she wants to live." Indeed, Diana told Vanity Fair, "Nothing gives me more pleasure now than being able to love and help those in our society who are vulnerable.
