#TBT to this fun invitation we designed in 2008 for the opening of the @mandell_us school in NYC. The school wanted to focus on their green initiative for the kids so everything about this invitation is recyclable. Even down to the paper the invite is printed on which is embedded with seeds so the children could plant it and give back to the earth. We sent them in custom made keepsake wooden boxes with viles of dirt and water to help aid in the planting. But my favorite part was the packaging. I asked all the children to hand paint newsprint paper for me so we could wrap each box with their art to give to the guests.
