Proud to announce @nextgenlondon & @migrateofficial have combined for a fantastic book & photography exhibition called 'MIGRATE' themed around human migration. It also examines the point of photography & video in the refugee crisis: The exhibition - at #Omeara in #LondonBridge - is open now until 2ND SEPT. Pictured is example work from one of the 8 photographers from the exhibition... ? @aliceaedy met Ashaluul, pictured here with her son, on a London bus. Struck by her beauty, Alice asked to make a portrait of her. She later learnt that Ashaluul, nicknamed Ash, is originally from Somaliland and as a child moved all over Europe, from Yugoslavia to the Netherlands. According to Alice, "She's now happy and settled, living in London as a single mother with her son... Ash says she feels more British than anything else".
