Memory is an incredible thing...
After being somewhere, it only takes closing our eyes to remember all the emotions and feelings connected to that place. We remember the picture.
I took this photo in Dankar and that's the photo I see when I close my eyes and remember Himalayas. We lived in a young family's house there. The house was very simple: the bathrooms were outside, the food was cooked by the owner himself. No luxury. Rice, vegetables, a dumpling and, of course, masala chai (traditional Indian tea with milk and spices).
Trust me, that was better than any five star hotel in the French Riviera!
Which places do you think of when you close your eyes?

Память – удивительная штука.. Побывав где-то, нам стоит просто закрыть глаза, и мы тут же вспоминаем все эмоции и чувства от того места. Вспоминаем картинку.
Эту фотографию я сделала в Данкаре, и именно эту картинку я вижу, когда закрываю глаза и вспоминаю о Гималаях. Мы жили там в доме молодой семьи. Домик их был очень простым: все "удобства" на улице, еду готовил сам хозяин. Никаких изысков. Рис, овощи, лепешка и, конечно же, чай масала (традиционный индийский час с молоком и специями). Поверьте мне, это было лучше любых 5-звёздочных отелей на Лазурном побережье!
