At less than half the diameter of the Milky Way, this galaxy is small on a cosmic scale…measuring around 40,000 light-years across. Despite its size, it is busy forming new stars! On average, this galaxy forms stars totaling around half the mass of the Sun per year – enough to label it a starburst galaxy.
