Q: Do you have any tips for how to start an invitation business? I only want to start small as it has been more of a hobby up until now. I have trouble reaching people and don't really know how to get it going. Any advice you have time to give would be great! The work you do is absolutely incredible. I would love to get to your level one day. ?? A: I get asked this question all the time and my number one recommendation, no matter what business you're starting, is to do you own thing. Don't just copy others. Doing something different creates opportunity. It's only through doing things differently that you find opportunity. When I first started, everybody was doing the same thing and it wasn't something that I, myself, was passionate about. So I created something that appealed to me which was different, unique and special and I got noticed for it. I never would have gotten noticed by my clients or the media if I was just doing what every one else was doing. Nothing makes me more happy as a designer when I see someone truly innovating. Great design challenges the norm and brings something new to the marketplace, stands out and gets noticed. Simply put, doing something different is the only way to get noticed. Getting noticed is the only way to succeed. ⭐️
