There are many things I could say about Mr. Jerry Lewis & what he contributed to this world beyond what is written in headlines for decades.
He was a great dad and loved @daniellelewis1329 so much and it showed each and every time I was together with them. He was a wonderful husband to his lovely wife SanDee.
For me just imagine a young man. I lost my own dad to cancer and was also experiencing one of many either career waves that either break or low tides that just feel like forever. "Don't be negative." Jerry would say to me. "Think of the positive and the possibility." He would tell me things to build me back up. And this was the master giving the young kid the ultimate pep talk. He knew how to breathe life into me with truisms and simultaneously take my breath away with laugher.
I would sometimes not pick up the phone on purpose so he would leave me voicemails. I have them all saved and listened to a few today. Oh and for the record I would always call him right back.
Thank you to my friend & mentor Jerry Lewis for believing in me. The world has truly lost its most treasured clown.
