Today is a very big day for me. I have experienced many emotions and received so much love. Earlier this year, I parted ways with my label, which left me with so much fear, confusion and frustration for what the future had in store for my music career. Many said, “it can’t be done without a label.” I reached a point where I felt I had disappointed my fans, my band, my team and my family leaving me with a sense of failure. I truly wanted to throw in the towel. Then, I got the call that @nicatnitemusic wanted to meet with me. My first question was why - why would she want to meet with me? I have no label…nothing. But we met, drank wine and shared our life’s stories. We created a bond over how life has hit us at times, but we never fell down without getting back up. Nicolle then shared “I’ve Done Love” with me and the rest is history. Nicolle, along with @shanemcanally and @joshosbornesongwriter ,wrote an incredible song and what I love most about it, is that we did it our way. No one’s permission. No holding back. To complete the process, I had the greatest pleasure of asking Nicolle to produce the song and she knocked it out of the park, alongside @bradwinters. I have always preached, “never give up on your dreams” and I was so close to giving up on mine. Thank you for calling me Nicolle. Thanks for giving me my voice back. I have done love. It has given me cuts and scars. It has bruised me and left me broken. I’ve done the hard stuff, but I have no regrets, because it’s love that makes the world go round.
