What a powerful day off the coast of Montauk. I was on assignment shooting with the shark research vessel OCEARCH for @Costa Sunglasses. The team of scientists and fishermen on board took such great care catching and examining these Great White Sharks. First catching them then reducing the stress on the shark by slowly swimming it around on a remote boat before pulling it onto the research deck which raises up. This allows the scientists to do their work before they release them back out to sea w/ their tracker and data recorder. A special moment for me was being able to feel the skin of the Great White Shark before they sent him back out to sea (second image in the layout above). .
