?Happy Panamanian Golden Frog Day! The Panamanian Golden Frog is the national animal of Panama, but the species has been extinct in the wild since 2009. Assurance populations, like those raised and cared for by the Panama Amphibian Rescue and Conservation Project, will help to repopulate the species in the wild. Meanwhile, scientists are also searching for ways to protect frogs from the chytrid fungus. #WeSaveSpecies
