Happy Monday everyone... Honestly... after the events of the weekend in #charlottesville I can't help but feel so very angry. And hurt. The only positive thing about it is the fact these white supremacists and Nazi's showed us they are here. That the racism, we like to think as being left in the past, is very much present. And they had the audacity to cry oppression. They wouldn't know oppression if it slapped them in their stupid faces.

This picture was a quote on a wall at the entrance of an exhibition called "The Legacy of Lynching: Confronting Racial Terror of America" I visited on the same day, at the Brooklyn Musem. I recommend going. You'll hear the stories of the families who are still feeling the pain of the lynching of an ancestor. The lack of closure. The lack of justice.

Oppression my arse... My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in Charlottesville and wishing those injured a quick and painless recovery.

And anyone who tries to condone this shit to me can just fall back. I'm so not in the mood.
