These are the words of Heather Heyers mother, Susan Bro. Can you imagine a world in which we all had this level of compassion and enlightenment in our hearts. Her words are profound...filled with love, not hate. Her words are heartbreaking. Even after the act of hate that took her daughters life away, she is still taking it upon herself to stand on the side of love and what's right, as her daughter would have wanted. If reading what she has to say about her daughter and the way she speaks about her daughters murderer doesn't make you want to do better .... BE better... then I don't know what will. And Yes! If the current situation we are all in doesn't make you completely outraged than you are NOT paying attention. But if we don't back that maddening feeling of outrage with love and compassion and have that be the driving force to do what's right...then we are ALL going to be in a much worse position than we are now. As so many people are saying - if you ever wondered what you would have done, how you would have acted or what side you would have been on during slavery, the holocaust or civil rights movement.... you're doing it and living it RIGHT NOW.
