I feel enraged and numb and without effective words all at the same time watching the news from my home state and seeing hatred and racism and all the worst parts of humanity gather together. In moments like this I find myself too often stunned into inaction but this reminder from Angela Davis (via @rarenaud and @unabridgedbookstore ) was just what needed to see to shake me out of the sheer horror of it all to get up, write, call and help people who are currently in VA helping stand up and speak up against those gathering in hatred.
