[@bpatrickflynn] A lot of times when I'm doing relaxed, casual blue and white rooms, I keep most of the surfaces white, and then simply layer in different shades of blue-grey, navy and sky blue with accent pieces for a cool, laid back vibe that's low-commitment, plus I throw in some brown and black to ground it all. Down the road if the homeowner becomes tired of blue, it can easily be changed out altogether, or an additional bold accent color can come in to freshen up the overall look.
