"starting strong is good,finishing strong is epic." saw this quote while I scroll my IG while waiting for my team mates yesterday. I was really praying for my left knee and hamstring injury not to bother me while I run but unfortunately the pain started to get worst on my first 10km run plus cramps when i reached the 12km mark under the heat of the sun with no wind at all.?☀️ I cried while running because of the pain and the heat but that time all I have was my faith, determination and my goal why I joined ironman 70.3 I prayed to God asking him to please remove the pain in my left leg or please lessen the sun kahit isa lang sa kanila, after how many minutes nawala yung sun, parang uulan, I didn't expect na ganun ka bilis, but God listened.. Then I continued running, 9km more to go my leg is still in pain plus cramps, during the run course a lot of athletes have been cheering for me "go kim" "go bianca" "kaya yan" "cramps ka?," some of them gave me their gu gels, some of them gave me their salt stick, chocolates, some of them offered me water, nagulat pako may nagpahid ng omega sa legs ko na athlete din he stopped running for me para mag lagay sa legs ko, i said go na kuya sabi nya cge lang lagyan muna kita para matapos mo to. most of them sinabayan ako while running just to give me that extra push cause I really want to give up, yung run ko iba na ichura, while I was running may narinig ako sa side saying "Go kim dont let your team mates down." after I heard that parang sabi ko oo nga sayang yung swim ni asha and bike ni xander if I give up. i said to myself "its all in the mind its all in the mind" kaya ko to. my source of strength is also the spectators na mga bisaya jud na taga agi nako they never failed to cheer for me, manyagit jud ug kusog, "go kim,go bianca,kaya yan." cheer kaayo sila. pati katong tig hatag ug tubig and ice salamat jud kaayo, I didn't get my goal to finish the run at 2:30mins but I'm still happy to finished by 2:54mins ??‍♀️ thank you team @trisixfive thank you cebu thank you papa God. ❤️ "God may not give everything you asked for, instead he will use instruments like the people,for you to get through it." ??thank you ironman70.3?
