I'm packing up to finally make way over to the #dcpenshow2017 and I couldn't help but spend a few extra moments earlier this morning reflecting on life, journeys and where some things first began. So today is dedicated to my first hero, my dad, who instilled in me a love of history, heritage, snapshots and fountain pens. He taught me how to believe in dreams, both in aspiration and also the ones of the heart that transcend linear confines. And he taught me that my segue into such spaces could be found with a pen and a blank page. Henceforth my love of journaling and writing commenced. Pictured here are some relics, both new and old, all of which inspire and remind to keep moving forward on a path enriched with roots as well as the promise of dreams still unraveling as new dawns await.

Last year's #dcpenshow was my first and an experience I'll never forget in the best of ways. My wish for everyone this year is that it is even more so for all. And I hope to see some new and familiar faces! And wishing everyone else out there a most beautiful Saturday! Cheers!
