Ever since I was little I always knew I wanted to breastfeed my babies ❤️ I can still clearly remember my mum breastfeeding my little sister so to me, it was a no-brainer. I didn't even buy a bottle or steriliser before I had my first (Emilia) ??? I assumed it was something that would come naturally to every woman...hahaha how wrong I was! Little did I know that the road would be difficult, bumpy and excruciatingly painful at times ?? With my first and third I suffered from cracked & bleeding nipples, it hurt like hell and I would scream, shake, squeeze @jonathanjoly 's hand and cry when they latched on ?? With my first baby I remember feeling so defeated and like I wanted to quit but something inside me (probably my stubbornness ?) pushed me to keep going, to stick it out and after about two weeks we finally got it right, my nipples healed and suddenly I LOVED it. ????? The bonding experience, the closeness between you & your baby, the freedom to do it wherever you want, whenever you want ☺️?? (even on a packed train ??) Look, breastfeeding is no walk in the park & this post isn't about shaming mums who bottle feed AT ALL because at the end of the day any kind of fed baby is good in my book so long as you're keeping them alive you're #winning ??? Boobing, bottling, whatever you want to do & whatever you're happy with.
