As I've continued to watch the @viceland docuseries #RISE, I have questions about how the majority of our country perceives Natives/Indigenous peoples.
Specifically if you're AMERICAN I'd like to ask you to post a FEW sentences or key words about your view of modern Native Americans. This will not be a place for arguing or judgement, and I'll delete any comments that are either of those. Please just share your thoughts, however beautiful or ugly they are- we can't grow unless we know the worst of it, so just be honest. •
• Do you think Indigenous people should assimilate to western society?
• Do you believe that Indigenous people are in the way of progress?
• Do you believe Indigenous people are in rebellion against the Judeo/Christian God and that is why there is so much suffering in their communities?
• Do you believe you owe anything to the Natives in your community?
• Do you believe the government owes anything to Natives in this country?
